I Am

God created me to be great,

therefore I Am.

I welcome abundance and ease today.

This is my era of experiencing life

at its fullest.

When I inhale. I ain’t scared

to stretch my pooch past my belt,

push breath through every locked crevice near my pelvis,

dust off cobwebs of lies we told

grown old.

Now that we old,

we begin to be free.

Libration welcomes me

with the warmest hug and collard greens,

egusi fish stew and hot fufu.

A childhood memory:

Daddy curved his right hand like a C

and called it a “natural spoon.”

To be in tune with one’s body

is Godly, abi?

I’ll be and I was,

but most importantly,

I Am.
